In the early 2000′s, I was visiting a college friend in San Francisco when his girlfriend showed me her strange jar of Kombucha mothers. Soon after, I tried GT’s at the local health food store, and I was hooked. Gingerade was my favorite.

I noticed my skin was clearer, my digestion was definitely better and I was drinking less coffee and soda. My husband (boyfriend at the time, lol) started drinking too. No more acid reflux pills every night and he lost a few pounds. We were hooked.

Uh oh. This costs how much? Now what?

Kombucha is a habit that gets expensive quickly. Remembering my friend, I got a mushroom online and started brewing my own. Soon I was sharing bottles and telling friends about this wonderful drink.

When I went looking for more information online, I was shocked at how confusing it was. I started experimenting with new brewing recipes and techniques, testing the information I found to separate truth from fiction.
