Peppermint & Green Power Blend Milk Kefir Shake Recipe

Enjoy Kombucha Kamp’s Peppermint Milk Kefir Healthy “Shamrock Shake.” Loaded with probiotics and nutrients, Hannah Crum, the Kombucha Mamma, demonstrates how easy it is to make Healthy “Shamrock Shake” a tasty treat at home. Dump the junk – your body will thank you!

  • Yield: about 16oz
  • Calories per 8oz Serving: about 155
  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Cook Time: 5 minutes
  • Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 12 oz milk kefir (1 ½ cups)
  • 6 peppermint ice cubes (see recipe below)
  • 1 teaspoon Greens Powder
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey (optional)
  • 2 sprigs of fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • 2 drops food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients, except 1 sprig of mint leaves, to a blender.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Pour into a cup and add a sprig of mint for garnish.

Peppermint Ice Cubes

  • Yield 1 tray of ice cubes (~12 cubes depending on the tray)

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon peppermint leaves (or 1 teabag of peppermint tea)
  • 1 cup of boiling water

Instructions

  1. Steep peppermint tea for at least 2 hours to overnight for a strong flavor.
  2. Pour the peppermint tea into a clean ice tray.
  3. Freeze overnight until solid. 
  4. Add to smoothies or anywhere you want a refreshing mint flavor!
